July 2022 update

Waya members -

Our 21-22 membership year is coming to a close and it's time for our annual meeting.  We have 2 open board seats with 1 member, choosing not to seek re-election.  We do have interest from the following people to run for election: Nick Gamroth, James ‘H’ Hensley, Stephanie Sartor, and Alex Young.  Any write-in votes will be considered as long as the candidate written in agrees to a position on the board.

We encourage all WAYA Members (with a paid membership fee for the 21-22 membership year) to come out and vote! Voting will be available at the Whitehall School District in the District Office Monday through Wednesday July 11-13 from 8am-3pm. Voting will also be available in person prior to the Annual Meeting on Wednesday July 13 in the Whitehall School District Auditorium Lobby from 5:30-6pm.  If you are unable to vote in person at these times, please contact WAYA President Katie Johnson for an online Ballot.

An end of year survey can be found here or on our website home page.  This survey is designed to evaluate your experience with Whitehall Area Youth Association programs.  As an organization we are striving to provide youth sports programs and offerings to the area youth in a positive, family environment and your feedback is vital to our success.

Flag Football and Volleyball registration will be open July 14th- July 29th with Flag Football practices beginning August 1st.  Volleyball TBD.  Watch for an email and Facebook post with information on the 14th.

We are looking for coaches for both Flag Football and Volleyball.  If you are interested please complete the coach application found here or on our website under the coaches corner page.  Once background checks are complete and board approval is made, we will be contacting you.

Please join us as we are very excited to make our way into a new membership year! We'll see you on Wednesday, July 13 in the Whitehall Schools auditorium at 6pm for our Annual Meeting.  Please also stick around for our July Monthly meeting to follow!
